Moxa 2-port RS-422485 device server with adapter, 0 to 55C operating temperature
Product details
The serial NPort 5200 device servers are designed to make your serial industrial devices internet-ready in no time. The compact size of the NPort 5200 serial device servers makes them an ideal choice for connecting your RS-232 or RS-422/485 serial devices to an IP-based Ethernet LAN, allowing your software to access serial devices from anywhere via a local LAN or the internet. The NPort 5200 series features a range of useful functions, including standard TCP/IP protocols and a selection of operating modes, Real COM/TTY drivers for existing software, and remote control of serial devices over TCP/IP or the traditional COM/TTY port.
NPort 5200 device servers can operate in TCP server, TCP client, or UDP mode, ensuring compatibility with software based on a standard network API.
With the Real COM/TTY drivers included with each NPort, software designed for communication with COM/TTY ports can be instantly and seamlessly integrated into a TCP/IP network. This is an excellent way to protect your software investments and take advantage of networking your serial devices.
By specifying the IP address and port number of the NPort 5200, a network sockets API can access the connected serial device over the network from any host computer that supports TCP/IP. For older Windows or Linux software that is COM or TTY-based, Moxa's COM/TTY drivers provide a seamless way to operate over the network.
