This E3D Volcano nozzle from Micro Swiss is made of M2 (1.3343) steel and has been electroless nickel plated and coated with a WS2 layer. WS2 is a tungsten sulfide coating with excellent friction properties, reducing the friction value by a factor of 10 compared to conventional PVD coatings. The M2 steel is hardened and annealed to 68 HRC, allowing you to print at extremely high temperatures of up to 450°C without loss of hardness. The nickel coating has a hardness of 70-73 HRC, making it suitable for printing highly abrasive materials such as ePAHT-CF nylon carbon, wood, or luminous glow-in-the-dark filaments.
