Cat7 cables are faster network cables than Cat6a. They provide a convenient and reliable connection from one network device, such as a switch, modem, or router, to another or to the infrastructure in general via a patch panel, keystone jack, or wall outlet. The cables are tested up to 600 MHz (Cat7 standard) but are manufactured with Cat6a connectors that meet the minimum standard of up to 500 MHz and are backward compatible with Cat6a, Cat6, Cat5e, and Cat5 cables. Each cable features a snagless design that prevents the connector from being damaged when routing the cable in tight spaces. Additionally, this cable is constructed with shielding that protects against electromagnetic interference (EMI). EMI can lead to crosstalk between circuits, resulting in data degradation, increased errors, and slower transmission rates. However, by using this shielded cable, you can avoid this issue.
