With the mantona Onyx series, you receive ball heads of the highest quality and functionality at an attractive price. These aluminum ball heads impress with their elegant craftsmanship, high-quality controls, and very pleasant handling comfort. Precision is combined here with low weight and high load capacity.

The Onyx series stands out not only for its functionality but also for its particularly enjoyable operation and handling. All control knobs and the ball head housing are made from black anodized, CNC-machined aluminum. The build quality of the Onyx is very good and far superior to simple entry-level ball heads. Everything about this ball head operates very precisely, smoothly, and pleasantly soft.

Despite its high load capacity of up to 8 kg, the ball head offers a very smooth and fluid operation. The Onyx 8 ball head, including the quick-release plate, weighs only 309 g.

In addition to its comfortable handling, this ball head also has a strong technical and mechanical foundation. The 30 mm ball of the Onyx 8 is well-damped and precisely manufactured. It, in combination with the excellently crafted housing and integrated mechanics, provides the very high holding power of this ball head.

The Onyx 8 ball head impresses with a variety of sensible features in the highest quality. The quick-release plate is Arca-Swiss compatible, and scales on the ball head base and the quick-release plate ensure the exact alignment of your equipment. Of course, a safety lock for the quick-release plate is also integrated. The 1/4 inch mounting screw for the camera can be easily operated with a D-ring without the need for separate tools.
