Product details
M5Stack BASIC Kit, like its namesake, is a starter kit among the M5Stack development kit series. Its modular, stackable, scalable, and portable device is powered by an ESP-32 core, which makes it open source, low cost, full-function, and easy for developers to handle new product development at all stages, including circuit design, PCB design, software, mold design, and production. This Basic kit provides a friendly price and full-featured resources, making it a good starter kit for you to explore IoT.
Ever wanted to explore the fastest way of IoT prototyping? The M5Stack development board is the perfect solution. Unlike others, the M5Stack development board is highly productized, covered with an industrial-grade case, and is based on the ESP32. The ESP32 is a hybrid Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chip that contains a dual-core and 4MB of SPI Flash. Together with 30+ M5Stack stackable modules and 40+ extendable units, along with different levels of programming languages, you can create and verify your IoT product in a very short time. Supported development platforms and programming languages include Arduino, Blockly language with UIFlow, and MicroPython. Regardless of your programming skill level, M5Stack will guide you every step of the way to realize your idea as well as to the final product.
If you have ever played with the ESP8266, you would realize that the ESP32 is a perfect upgrade. In comparison, the ESP32 is fully featured with more GPIO, plenty of analog inputs, and two analog outputs, along with multiple extra peripherals, such as a spare UART. The official development platform, ESP-IDF, is equipped with FreeRTOS. With dual-core and real-time OS, you can achieve more organized code and a much higher speed processor.
M5Stack Basic consists of two separable parts. The top part contains all kinds of processors, chips, and various slot components. The bottom part includes a lithium battery, M-BUS socket, and extendable pins on both sides.
