The light emits the diffuse, pleasant, and glare-free illumination that is characteristic of Poul Henningsen's reflective three-light system. The lamp is available in white opal glass or black lacquered metal, feels soft to the touch, and has a white interior. While the lacquered metal shade emits a subtle light primarily directed downward, the metal upper shade, in combination with the translucent middle-lower shade made of three layers of mouth-blown opal glass, also creates warmth of light all around. The included satin glass diffuser is easy to insert and ensures a softer light emission.
