The AJ 50 LED wall light was designed in 1957 by Arne Jacobsen for the lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen. This designer lamp was originally created for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, Denmark. The AJ 50 LED wall light is particularly notable for its highly asymmetrical and adjustable shade. The AJ LED wall light is a true modern classic that never goes out of style due to its timelessness. The lamps provide direct and focused light. The adjustable and swiveling head also contributes to optimizing light distribution. The interior of the shade is white-painted for a pleasantly diffused light.

Arne Jacobsen Design - AJ 50 LED Wall Light

In 2010, Louis Poulsen celebrated the 50th anniversary of the AJ, designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1960 for the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. For this reason, the Danish lighting manufacturer has updated these wall lights with modern and energy-efficient LEDs. Originally designed as an indoor table lamp, the Louis Poulsen AJ 50 LED is now an outdoor light that is protected against water jets with an IP65 rating.
