The Liontron HighCurrent batteries are high-current capable lithium batteries that serve as a full replacement for 12V lead batteries. The battery has been designed as a high-end solution for applications requiring extremely high currents for short periods, such as for use with bow thrusters. Compared to lead batteries, it offers a significant weight reduction, enormous energy reserves, and stable voltage even under extreme loads. Despite its extremely lightweight and compact design, the battery easily delivers a short-term current output of up to 1200A. Our batteries are based on lithium iron phosphate technology (LiFePO4), currently the safest lithium technology available. The integrated BMS constantly monitors the status of the individual cells and protects them from overcharging, overvoltage, and overheating, among other things.
