Product details
The Lindy 4K30 HDMI & USB over IP System is a powerful solution for creating a variety of customized, distributed AV and KVM installations. The system consists of encoder and decoder modules, as well as a separate controller module. All modules are available separately, allowing you to build and scale the system according to your requirements. An HDMI source, such as a PC or media player, is connected to a single encoder module, while an HDMI display is connected to a single decoder module. Multiple encoders and decoders can be combined for various multicast distribution options. The controller module manages the entire installation and routes the different sources to the various displays, providing maximum creative freedom and customization options. All modules can be connected to a managed 1G switch to create a network of connected devices. Additionally, the system supports USB KVM control access for each connected module, enabling connected PCs on the encoder side to be controlled by KVM consoles on the remote decoder side. By combining multiple decoders and the displays connected to them, not only individual displays can be created, but also impressive video wall and matrix solutions. This extender system offers a JPEG2000 main stream and an H.264/H265 codec secondary stream, supporting many API commands to achieve flexible configurations even from third-party control apps. It requires a Layer 3 1G managed network switch that supports IGMP snooping and 8K jumbo frames. With the PoE feature, the device can also be powered on without the included power supply.
