Product details

The Lindy DVI EDID Emulator with cloning function is designed for systems where reliable availability of the EDID must be ensured at all times. It helps with EDID issues that can arise in applications involving AV/KVM extenders, switches, or splitters. The emulator can also be used in place of a monitor to keep the PC or server ready for remote access over IP.

Problems can occur when different AV devices such as KVM switches, splitters, and extenders are used. These devices often cannot return EDID information to the source device. The emulator allows the user to clone the EDID information of a display, which can then be provided to the source device before installing additional devices.

The emulator comes pre-loaded with EDID data, including common combinations of DVI resolutions and refresh rates. This enables quick and easy installation of many displays without the need to clone the EDID information.
