Cat.5 KVM Computer Access Module for connecting servers to CAT-n series KVM switches!

Computers are connected to the CAT-32 and CAT-16 KVM switches via a Cat.5 dongle and UTP cable. Two different modules are available: with USB or PS/2 support, compatible with PC (PS/2 or USB connection), Mac, and SUN (USB connection).

Features:

  • For computers with USB and VGA connections
  • Supports all widely used operating systems with USB HID (mouse & keyboard) support
  • Multi-platform support for computer systems with USB and VGA connections
  • Connection via Cat.5e/6 UTP cable to the KVM switch with cable lengths of up to 100m
  • The Computer Access Modules feature two LEDs that indicate status: Power and Link
  • Cable lengths (including connectors) at the server dongle are approximately 20cm (VGA), 40cm (VGA to USB)
  • The adjustment of image quality to the Cat.5 cable link is done electronically via the OSD menu of the KVM switch for each module individually
  • The modules and the KVM switch support hot plug functionality as long as the computer's operating system supports it.
