Product details

This active electronic converter allows HDMI or DVI signal sources to be connected to monitors* with DisplayPort connector.

Converts an HDMI or DVI-D single link signal and outputs it via DisplayPort.
The resolution is not changed, maximum supported is UHD 4K 3840x2160@30Hz

Not suitable for game consoles such as Xbox, PS3/PS4

The signal conversion from DVI or HDMI to DispalyPort is much more complex than the signal conversion in the opposite direction, so that this adapter is also not comparable in price with the simple adapters for the opposite direction.

NOTE: Apple (Cinema) displays with Thunderbolt/Displayport connector only accept 720p (1280x720) resolutions via their Mini-DisplayPort input! Apple monitors do NOT allow the high native resolutions of the monitor via the DP EDID protocol! This is not an error of the converter but a fundamental disadvantage of the Apple monitors. They support high resolutions only via the Thunderbolt protocol.
