Product details

This is a small buzzer for the LilyPad system. Use two I/O pins on the LilyPad main board to produce different sounds based on the frequency of the I/O toggling. It is loud enough to be heard in a pocket, but not annoyingly loud.

Please note: This is an inductive buzzer, which means it acts as a short circuit when you are not actively controlling it. We recommend setting both I/O pins to Low (0V) when the buzzer is not in use. Additionally, we have found that washing these buzzers can damage them. Until we find a solution to this issue, please avoid washing any part of your project that contains one of these buzzers.

LilyPad is a technology for wearable e-textiles developed by Leah Buechley, collaboratively designed by Leah and SparkFun. Each LilyPad is creatively designed to have large connection pads so they can be sewn into clothing. Various input, output, power, and sensor boards are available. They are even washable!

Note: A portion of this sale will be returned to Dr. Leah Buechley for the further development and education of e-textiles.

Dimensions:

* 20 mm outer diameter
