The LIGHT patch cables from the SLIM® brand provide a solution for various cabling issues. Although they visually resemble a standard copper patch cable, the LIGHT patch cables meet the Category 6 specifications, making them suitable for 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, and 1000BASE-T applications, including Gigabit Ethernet. Remarkably, three LIGHT patch cables have the diameter of a single conventional CAT6 patch cable. Despite their extremely thin design, the cable features twisted pairs. Additionally, it has a wide, flexible strain relief and a practical length marking at both ends, supporting Power over Ethernet (PoE according to IEEE802.3af).

Application: Typical application areas for LIGHT patch cables:

  • Overcrowded server or network cabinets or cable ducts
  • Telephone panels or switches with high port densities: very short cables allow for easy patching from switch to switch or switch to panel without a cable management panel
  • Connection of VoIP phones, as the cables are extremely flexible and easy to lay on a desk
