LWL (Fiber Optic Cable)
While a conventional signal in a copper cable is susceptible to electrical interference, optical cables operate flawlessly even under the most challenging conditions. Additionally, fiber optic cables do not affect electronics. Due to the low attenuation of optical cables, distances of up to 550 meters can be covered.
Multimode with fiber thickness of 50/125 µm
Certain systems require higher data rates. Conventional multimode fibers can achieve data rates of up to 10 Gbps, but only over a distance of up to 84 meters. The differences in propagation time present in multimode fibers have been minimized in OM3 fibers through special processes in the core area. This allows transmission distances of up to 300 meters.
LC Connector
The LC connector is a high-performance fiber optic connector for singlemode and multimode applications, featuring an insertion loss of only 0.1 dB and a return loss of 55 dB. The design of the LC connector is based on a single-fiber ceramic ferrule with a diameter of 1.25 mm for a fiber optic cable.
SC Connector
Duplex SC connectors are standard connectors for fiber optic cabling. They feature automatic locking and a twist protection mechanism. Their use is recommended for new installations of computer networks utilizing fiber optic technology. The connector is suitable for both singlemode and multimode fibers, allowing for simplex, duplex, and multiple connections.
