Product details

Are you tired of 3D printing with plastic that smells like plastic? Introducing the first wood-based 3D printing material! This wood filament can be used just like any other 3D printing filament; load it into your 3D printer and print your desired models.

LAYWOO filament is a blend containing 40% recycled wood, combined with a binding polymer. This wood/polymer composite allows the filament to be printed just like thermoplastic filaments such as ABS and PLA, but gives your creations a wooden appearance.

The thermal strength of LAYWOO filament is similar to that of PLA, and it can be printed at temperatures ranging from 175 to 250 °C. After printing, the object looks and smells like wood and can also be treated like wood. After printing, you can cut, sand, and paint your creations in the same manner as wooden objects. Depending on the temperature at which you print, it will take on different shades of brown. At 180 °C, LAYWOO-D3 prints will become lighter, while at 245 °C, the prints will become darker.

Warning! This filament is very sensitive to low temperatures (15 degrees and below). It should be stored in a warm environment. The product will become very brittle and may break!.
