The microKORG features the same DSP synthesis as the KORG MS2000B and offers many more waveforms. For Oscillator 1, there are 71 different waveforms available, including analog classics like sawtooth, pulse wave, sine, and noise, as well as new waveforms like Vox Wave and Cross Wave. This already provides a lot of variety, and these waveforms can be intensely modulated. Additionally, there are 64 exclusive DWGS waveforms from the KORG classic DW-8000, making the microKORG suitable as an emulator. This allows for the creation of sounds like bells, electric pianos, guitars, and basses that are difficult to simulate with analog waveforms alone. When using Oscillator 2, sync and ring modulation are also possible.
