Koolance Quick release

Koolance is renowned among experts for its excellent quality and aesthetics, offering a wide range of water cooling products—from heatsinks and fittings to radiators, pumps, and hoses. The manufacturer clearly knows what it offers its discerning customers.

The QD series of quick disconnects from Koolance allows for a very simple and practical way to interrupt the coolant circuit by simply pressing down a metal ring. This is particularly necessary in situations where hoses or water cooling components integrated into the system need to be frequently disconnected from the rest of the water cooling loop.

Consider, for example, an external radiator that you want to quickly and safely disconnect from your PC during transport, so that it can be carried separately. Or a water cooling component that you change frequently, whether out of a spirit of experimentation (CPU or chipset coolers) or due to regular upgrades (VGA coolers).

Two QD3 quick disconnects made of black lacquered brass are connected or separated (one male, one female), with Koolance having developed valves that, as the name No-Spill suggests, are designed to ensure a certain degree of leak prevention. However, it should be noted that a completely immediate seal is not possible, and up to 0.2 ml of fluid may be released.

This quick disconnect represents the black, straight version in female with a hose connection via a compression fitting, with an inner diameter of 10 mm and an outer diameter of 13 mm.
