The QD series of quick disconnects from Koolance allows for a very simple and practical way to interrupt the coolant circuit by simply pressing down a metal ring. This is especially necessary in situations where hoses or water cooling components connected to them need to be frequently detached from the rest of the water cooling system.

For example, consider an external radiator that you want to quickly and safely disconnect from the PC during transport to carry it separately. Or a water cooling component that is changed frequently, whether out of experimentation (CPU or chipset cooler) or due to regular upgrades (VGA cooler).

Two QD3 quick disconnects made of black-painted brass are connected or separated (one male, one female), with Koolance developing valves that, as the name No-Spill suggests, are intended to ensure a degree of leak resistance. However, it should be noted that a hundred percent immediate sealing is not possible, and up to 0.2 ml of liquid may escape.

This quick disconnect features a straight black female version with a hose connection via a compression nut, with an inner diameter of 13 mm and an outer diameter of 19 mm.
