If you have a modern case with the option to connect USB 3.0 devices but lack a motherboard that provides a suitable internal USB 3.0 port, this adapter can help ensure that the case ports are not left unused.

With the approximately 15 cm long black cable, you can convert the case's connection plug (USB 3.0, 19-pin, female) to a USB 2.0 plug (8-pin, female), which fits onto a motherboard header for up to two USB 2.0 connections.

Of course, the maximum transfer rates of the USB 2.0 standard can be achieved.
