Lower carbohydrates in rice: The rice cooker offers a low-carb program to reduce carbohydrate content and thus minimize calorie intake. This innovative technology separates the rice from a portion of the cooking water, which is rich in starch, and is suitable for most white rice varieties. During cooking, some of the starch (carbohydrates) is diluted with the cooking water and collected in a special collection bowl. The rice is then finished cooking in steam mode, which reduces calorie intake.
