We have received numerous inquiries from professional users about whether there is a video cable optimized for shorter to medium distances. It should be flexible with a small outer diameter, easy to coil, and capable of frequent patching. This prompted us to design the VD083LP – the optimal cable for mobile transmission of digital video signals over distances up to 70 meters. The extremely robust, abrasion-resistant, and notch-resistant PUR outer jacket perfectly protects the internal components. The finely stranded conductor is insulated by a physically foamed PE dielectric, and there is a double copper braid providing more than 98% coverage. According to SMPTE standards, a 1.5 GB/s signal can be transmitted up to 70 meters, and a 3 GB/s signal can reach up to 50 meters, with the possibility of even more in practice, depending on the transmitter and signal level! The VD083LP is equipped with UHD 4K BNC connectors from Neutrik as a finished product. By the way, the VD083LP is the "smaller brother" of our widely appreciated and well-known V12L/48DP, which is designed for long distances.
