Keychron K8 Max

The Keychron K8 Max ISO-CH in the aluminum version features the Keychron Super Banana Switch, which provides a distinct tactile typing experience. The switch operates with a trigger force of 57 ±8 gf, a pre-travel distance of 2.0 ±0.4 mm, and a total travel distance of 3.6 ±0.4 mm. The strong tactile bump resembles so-called "panda-like" switches and delivers precise feedback while typing. The switches are pre-lubed, designed to be quiet, and rated for up to 50 million keystrokes. IXPE, PET, and EPDM foams under the plate dampen sound and stabilize the internal structure. The keyboard supports hot-swapping for 3-pin and 5-pin MX switches. The OSA double-shot PBT keycaps ensure a consistent typing feel with durable labeling. South-facing RGB offers 22 lighting modes. Layouts, layers, and macros can be edited in the browser through QMK and the Keychron Launcher. The keyboard is compatible with macOS, Windows, and Linux, and includes suitable keycaps for both systems. An ARM Cortex-M4 MCU with 256KB flash and a polling rate of 1000 Hz in both 2.4 GHz and wired modes provide quick input responses. The 4000 mAh battery lasts around 190 hours without lighting and about 100 hours with RGB at low brightness.

The aluminum version measures 359.20 x 129.20 mm and weighs 1308 g. The front height is 35.32 mm, while the rear height is 43.09 mm. Three adjustable tilt angles (3.4°, 7.7°, and 10.7°) are available. Screw stabilizers reduce wobbling on larger keys like Space, Enter, or Shift. The keyboard features an ISO-CH layout with 87 keys. The combination of the strongly tactile Super Banana Switch, aluminum casing, OSA PBT keycaps, and programmable firmware is ideal for users who need clear feedback while typing, a structured typing feel, and wireless flexibility.
