The Aledin Dec Table Lamp

The use of plastic as a material for home furniture and accessories is the hallmark of the Kartell brand, founded in 1949 by Giulio Castelli. He had previously worked on developing plastic parts for the automotive industry, but he also enjoyed experimenting with new materials in his own company.

An extravagant desk lamp

This table lamp is versatile and offers numerous applications in the home. It is made from high-quality materials such as aluminum and polycarbonate. The lamp, with a diameter of 21 centimeters, can be adjusted in height from 48 to 113 centimeters. The lamp was designed by Alberto Meda.

A designer of distinction

Alberto Meda studied mechanical engineering at the Polytechnic University of Milan, graduating in 1969. From 1973, he worked for six years as Technical Director for Kartell before becoming a freelance industrial designer. In the 1990s, he designed several classics, including the office chair "Meda Chair.".
