The focal length of 150 mm and the 1:1 magnification ratio are the main features of the new lens, making it easier to photograph small objects. The greater working distance makes it much easier to work than with other macro lenses with shorter focal lengths. This eliminates issues with lens shadows, and the use of special lighting is entirely feasible. The high brightness of f/2.8 allows for shorter shutter speeds, and the 150 mm focal length offers the best compromise between a narrow field of view, which is highly sought after in macro, advertising, and portrait photography. Therefore, the user has the option to shoot without a tripod.
