The focal length of 150 mm and 1:1 magnification are the main features of the new objective that make it easier to photograph small objects. The longer object distance makes the work much easier than with other macro objectives with shorter focal lengths. Thus, there will be no problems with lens shadows and the use of special lamps becomes quite possible. High speed of f/2.8 makes it possible to use faster shutter speeds and the focal length of 150 mm offers the best compromise between a narrow angle of view, which is so popular for macro, advertising and portrait photography, and the possibility to shoot "handheld".
