Overall ratingVery good95/100
- Top recordings
- great image stabiliser
- many modes
- Quite high weight
- somewhat short running time
All of the action cams tested are good companions for adventures in the great outdoors and for demanding shots of sporting activities. The GoPro Hero12 Black and Insta360 Ace Pro are particularly impressive in terms of image quality and features. If, on the other hand, you want a lot of accessories, the Rollei Action One is the right choice...

- Quite high weight

Very good96/100

- Slightly heavier than the competition

Very good99/100
- Crisp image sharpness, low-noise and therefore high image quality when shooting in low light and the powerful stabiliser speak in favour of the Insta360 Ace Pro.
- The need to activate the camera online is annoying
- Professional filmmakers miss a log recording mode for more leeway in video colour editing
Insta360 has long since acquired the expertise for an action camera with its 360-degree cameras. The new Ace Pro is therefore one of the top solutions in this camera class right out of the box. The aforementioned drawbacks could be rectified with a firmware update. So we'll have to wait and see.
Very good90/100
- Very good video quality
- Foldable screen
- comfortable operation
- Relatively large and heavy
- No replaceable lens protection
8K is not what makes the Insta360 Ace Pro the best action cam currently available. Rather, in addition to the top video quality, it is the many small details such as the foldable screen or the uniquely practical remote control.
