HDMI is the latest standard in home cinema, multimedia, and PC entertainment. Through this interface, both image and sound data are transmitted digitally. Additionally, HDMI is compatible with DVI, enabling direct transfer from DVD players to TFT screens (video signals only). HDMI is a very fast interface with speeds of up to 5 Gb/s.
