The Pixhawk PX4 GPS module is based on a ublox Neo-M8N module. Additionally, it has been combined with an HMC5883L compass to achieve even greater flight stability. Furthermore, the GPS module features an integrated and rechargeable 3V lithium battery. This additional battery allows for a warm start in just a few seconds (< 3 sec.). A cold start can also be achieved by the new GPS module in less than 26 seconds.
