Classic Zeus amplifiers were previously designed in an analog format and have a powerful presence. The large Zeus amps are still cult favorites among car audio fans worldwide, but the downside of such behemoths is their significant space requirements in vehicles.
For this reason, the HiFonics engineers decided to use advanced digital power in the design of the new Zeus Street ZXS amplifiers to achieve ultra-compact heat sink dimensions. This is primarily made possible by modern Class D technology, which requires significantly less power—about 90% less—than comparably powerful analog amplifiers due to its extremely high efficiency. Another advantage is that the cable cross-sections for power supply do not need to be as thick.
However, small does not mean weak: right from the first unboxing, it is clear that these are genuine Zeus amps. Despite their compact size, the models have a pleasant weight in hand, conveying a solid feel in the familiar HiFonics quality. Embedded aluminum logo badges, carefully machined model numbers, and sophisticated aluminum cast end caps visually create a unique symbiosis of power and elegance that emanates from these amps.
All ZXS models naturally come equipped with adjustable crossovers and the latest features, including an automatic turn-on function needed for connection to modern vehicle electronics. The high-level inputs are equipped with advanced EPS to suppress error messages in vehicle diagnostic systems. Low-emission HiFonics IFT digital technology ensures uninterrupted radio reception.
