Product details
Haida PROII MC 86mm Gray Filter ND3.0
Capture stunning photographs with the help of a gray filter. A gray filter, or neutral density filter (ND filter), allows for extended exposure times. This means that people or vehicles in the image become invisible, which can be useful when wanting to take architectural shots without any personnel. This way, anyone can create impressive architectural photos.
The gray filter reduces the amount of light entering through the lens, enabling the use of a larger aperture. This is necessary when the subject to be photographed needs to stand out against a blurred background or when a motion or flow effect is desired through long exposure. For example, falling water can be better captured, especially when the ambient light is too bright.
This gray filter has a neutral density of ND3.0, which corresponds to a 1000x extension factor or 10 f-stops.
Note: This gray filter typically does not affect the camera's automatic exposure measurement. Therefore, it can be used in all automatic modes (e.g., P, Av, Tv). However, with some DSLRs, it may be necessary to cover the viewfinder to prevent the exposure measurement from being distorted by incoming light.
Included: 1 x Haida PROII 86mm Multi-Coating Neutral Density Filter ND3.0 1000x and 1 x storage box. The required filter size depends on the filter thread of the lens. Please check before ordering whether the diameter of the filter matches that of your lens!.
