Haida PROII MC 105mm Gray Filter ND3.0

Create stunning photographs with the help of a gray filter. A gray filter, or neutral density filter (ND filter), allows for an extended exposure time. This makes people or vehicles in the image invisible, which can be useful when capturing architectural shots without any personnel. This way, anyone can take impressive architectural photos.

The gray filter reduces the amount of light entering through the lens, enabling the use of a larger aperture. This is necessary when the subject to be photographed needs to stand out against a blurred background or when a motion or flow effect is to be created through long exposure. For example, falling water can be better photographed, especially when the ambient light is too bright.

This gray filter has a neutral density of ND3.0, which corresponds to a 1000-fold extension factor or 10 stops of light.

Note: This gray filter generally does not affect the camera's automatic exposure measurement. Therefore, it can be used in all automatic modes (e.g., P, Av, Tv). However, in some DSLRs, it may be necessary to cover the viewfinder to prevent light from interfering with the exposure measurement.
