BL5 Wall Lamp by Gubi

The BL5 wall lamp from the Gubi collection is a retro-inspired wall light. It features a height-adjustable arm with a joint at the head, allowing the lamp to rotate and pivot. This completely flexible lamp is perfect for reading. It is a standard plug-and-switch wall lamp, but can also be made available with a direct electrical connection upon request. Designed by Robert Dudley Best, this wall lamp is available in various versions.

Robert Dudley Best Design - BL5 Wall Lamp

When Robert Dudley Best designed the BL lamp series in the 1930s, they were revolutionary and simple, with a clear and extraordinarily functional design language for the time. They are still considered the epitome of classic Bauhaus design. This is further emphasized by the fact that the Englishman Robert Dudley Best had close ties to Dessau, Weimar, and Berlin, the then centers of the German Bauhaus movement.
