ABC Table Lamp by Gubi

The ABC table lamp by Barba Corsini features a crossed tripod base from which the round lampshade extends. The perforated metal shade is painted on the outside and made of plastic on the inside. The ABC table lamp is available in various colors. Fabric-covered cables complement the ABC table lamp. Gubi's table lamp was designed for Antonio Gaudi's famous building in Barcelona, La Pedrera. In 1955, the loft of La Pedrera was transformed from a laundry room and storage space into 13 modern maisonette apartments. The renovation was led by Spanish architect Barba Corsini. To complement the modernist look of the space, Corsini also designed the furniture and lighting for the apartment, including the Pedrera lamp.

The ABC lamp base was inspired by the vaulted ceilings of the famous La Pedrera building, while the cylindrical shape and unique perforated detail of the chimney influenced the shape of the lampshade. The simple design highlights the refined details of the lamp, while the perforated shade creates a pleasant ambiance in any room.
