GoPro is primarily targeting professionals with the Hero Black 13. While the camera itself has hardly anything new to offer, the fresh lenses and filters expand the range of applications. That is brilliant. However, if you want to utilise the full potential, you will have to dig deep into your pockets...
The GoPro Hero 13 Black takes the top spot in the tested camera. It takes first-class videos and photos, and the image stabiliser reliably corrects vibrations. Numerous recording modes are available. The good range is rounded off by exciting accessories and a good app, although the full range costs money.
The GoPro Hero13 Black action cam achieved a very good result in the CHIP test. The image quality of the 5.3K videos is brilliant and rich in detail in daylight, as always, with only a slight loss of sharpness in low light. The image stabiliser performs at its usual high level. The slow motion with 120 fps at the highest resolution and 400 fps in HD resolution of 720p are also excellent...
The GoPro Hero13 Black comes with useful technical refinements: improved sound, real HDR output, extreme slow motion and GPS. Highlights are the new lenses and filters, which cost a lot of money but expand the creative possibilities. The same applies to the Contacto waterproof charging system. The camera can be attached to the accessories in three ways, which provides enormous flexibility.
