Only in combination with the GHMT-certified components listed below is the flawless functionality of this CAT-8.1 patch cable guaranteed. The transmission properties were tested in a 2-Connector Channel over a predefined transmission distance of 24 m according to the specifications for Class I up to 2 GHz as per ANSI/TIA-568.2-D 2018-09: 2 Connector Channel Copper, Class I up to 2 GHz.

The Wentronic GmbH CAT 8 patch cable has the article number CAT 8.1 - 2 m S/FTP PiMF gray. Certified patch cables are: 61091, 61092, 61093, 61094, 61095, 61102, 61103, 61104, 61105, 61106, 61113, 61114, 61115, 61116, 61117. Certified installation cables are: 61126, 61127, 61128. Certified keystone coupler: 61139.

The 2 m LAN cable supports 25GBase-T and 40GBase-T Ethernet networks, is 40-gigabit capable, and is backward compatible with 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, and 1000BASE-T. With a transmission bandwidth of up to 2,000 MHz, the Ethernet cable has four times the bandwidth of CAT-6A cables. It is GHMT-certified for a transmission distance of 1x 24 m installation cable plus 2x 3 m patchcord in the 2-Connector Channel 8.1 Standard Class I with an operating frequency of up to 2 GHz.

The S/FTP overall shielding consists of aluminum foil shielding for individual pairs PiMF and aluminum braid shielding for the cable sheath. Both ends of the cable are equipped with RJ45 connectors 8P8C with 50 μm gold-plated contact surfaces and latch protection. The CAT-8 LAN cable is suitable for Power over Ethernet (PoE), PoE+, UPoE, 4PPoE, and HDBaseT. The cable sheath is low smoke and halogen-free (LSZH).
