The GT2542 has a load capacity of 39.7 lbs, extends to a maximum height of 65.7 inches, and can be collapsed to 22 inches for transport. The center column on the tripod can be removed for the Ground Level Set, allowing the tripod to reach its lowest height of 5.9 inches. The four-section legs are secured with twist locks that include G-Lock Ultra, which features an internal O-ring to prevent dust and particles from entering the leg system. The upper spider has been redesigned to enhance rigidity. With large angles for the leg positions, you have more freedom of movement when adjusting the leg angles. A ballast hook on the center column allows you to add weight to increase the stability of the tripod.
