Product details
Properties of PLA
PLA Volcano is an industrial grade PLA developed for professional applications that require high printing speeds and improved heat resistance and mechanical properties similar to ABS. PLA Volcano offers the same mechanical and thermal properties - after annealing - as most ABS filaments, but with the biodegradability and easy dual printability of PLA. PLA Volcano combines high heat resistance with high printing speeds and high impact resistance compared to a normal PLA filament.
How to cure
Curing objects made with PLA-X3 is not difficult, but must be done correctly for the best results. We have done many tests and believe we have found the right settings to be successful every time.
1. Preheat an oven to 110 degrees.
2. When the oven is preheated, place your printed object in the oven. We recommend placing the object on a flat aluminium tray or similar.
- Set a 20-minute timer for small objects with thin walls and medium filling.
- Set a 60-minute timer for large objects with thick walls and medium filling.
3. When the object has finished hardening, do not remove the object, but simply switch off the oven instead. Now wait until the oven has cooled down to room temperature. Please be patient as this may take a while.
4. Take the object out of the oven (remove the supports) and now you have a perfectly tempered PLA Volcano print.
