The Tatou S1 and S2 LED pendant light adds coziness to any environment with its playful design. The textured lampshade visually resembles the structure of a woven basket. In fact, the structure reminded Patricia Urquiola of the shell of an armadillo, which is why she chose the name Tatou for the lighting series.

Patricia Urquiola – designs influenced by Italian aesthetics

Spanish-born Patricia Urquiola studied architecture at the Polytechnic University of Madrid and at the University of Milan. As the head of the design team at Lissoni Associati, she designed lights and furniture for renowned manufacturers as early as 1996. However, she found her creative freedom only after founding her own design studio.
