The Tatou F LED floor lamp gets its name from the animal that inspired its design by Patricia Urquiola. The term "Tatou" comes from French and means armadillo. The structure of the lampshade is inspired by the honeycomb-like shell of the armadillo, providing a diffuse light that creates a cozy light distribution.

The body of the Tatou F LED floor lamp and the internal diffuser are made from high-quality polycarbonate. The base of the lamp and the stem, on the other hand, are made of painted steel. The Tatou F LED floor lamp is available in the colors ochre-gray, black, and white.
