This timer is suitable for switching programs at specific times and on certain days of the week. Finger gestures instead of mechanical buttons, switches, or dials are also optionally available. Here, FINDER uses the smartphone to communicate with the device. Smartphone apps have the advantage of being clear and intuitive to use. The device for the DIN rail can be fully configured using the FINDER Toolbox app on the smartphone. Once the configuration is complete, the data set is transferred to the timer simply by placing the smartphone on the device housing. The data transfer also works without the timer being powered, as the smartphone itself induces the NFC chip to receive. Consequently, it can be conveniently configured in the office after unpacking and is then installed fully programmed in the distribution board or control cabinet.
