The VMA00201 adapter allows for the simultaneous use of headphones and a soundbar through the TV's HDMI-ARC port. It outputs audio in both stereo via the 3.5mm jack and multichannel sound (Dolby Digital or DTS 5.1) through HDMI. The adapter downmixes the multichannel audio to stereo and enables volume control for both outputs via the TV remote (using HDMI-CEC). When both devices are connected, the soundbar's volume is adjusted while the headphone output remains at maximum volume. Power is supplied via a USB cable, and the adapter powers on automatically. Only audio signals are transmitted, with no video signals, and all sources should be connected directly to the TV. The jack output provides an audio level of 2 V rms, making it ideal for hearing amplifiers or Bluetooth transmitters.
