Oil pastel crayons offer wonderful possibilities for applying very vibrant, intense colors as well as delicate pastel tones. The high luminosity of these crayons is excellent for both encaustic techniques and various pastel and scraping techniques. All crayons can be easily blended with the finger depending on the desired artistic effect, but they can also be painted with a brush and turpentine or a turpentine substitute.
