Product details
Spruce is part of the BIO design series. This composite material impresses with its exceptional processing properties and a unique wood-like feel, thanks to biological spruce fibers. Spruce is made from 100% renewable raw materials.
- Very good printing and flow properties
- Mechanically and thermally comparable to PLA
- Biodegradable according to DIN EN ISO 14855
Properties:
Filament diameter: 1.75 mm
Material quantity: 800 g
Printing speed: 20 - 60 mm/s
Printing temperature: 140 °C - 180 °C
Heated bed temperature: 0 - 60 °C
Maximum load: Due to its composition, spruce exhibits particularly good properties regarding pressure load.
Elongation at break: The wood fibers stiffen the material and thus minimize elongation at break.
Heat resistance: Similar to PLA, the softening temperature of spruce is around 60-70 °C.
Difficulty level: The recommended processing temperature for spruce is 160-180 °C with a nozzle size of approximately 0.5-0.6 mm, making the material suitable for advanced users.
Visual quality: At a layer height of 0.15 mm, no grooves are visible. Small and medium series can be produced in professional quality.
Layer adhesion: The layer adhesion of spruce is similar to that of PLA, thus falling within the normal range.
Impact resistance: The optimization of the material has also achieved a higher impact resistance.
