The EX-1451IS is a USB 2.0 high-speed isolation adapter that complies with the specifications of the Universal Serial Bus (USB) Revision 2.0, operating at a data transfer rate of up to 480 Mbps. The EX-1451IS features a USB 2.0 Type A port with 15 kV ESD surge protection for USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices. With 2.5 kV optical isolation, the downstream port is backward compatible with USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 compatible devices, but it is designed solely for USB 2.0 and USB 1.1. Additionally, the EX-1451IS offers the unique capability to operate in powered bus mode without an external power supply, making it convenient for low-power USB devices. The external DC jack is used for self-power mode when more power is required at the downstream port.
