Instead of using conventional cylindrical rollers, the Eschenfelder Novia flaker, made in Germany, is equipped with rollers made of stainless steel.

Freshly pressed flakes differ significantly from industrially pressed ones. The latter are treated with steam and then pressed under heat; this process ensures the consistency of industrially produced flakes but also means that such flakes cannot be considered fresh products. A flaking machine at home provides the opportunity to always produce fresh flakes, thereby preserving the variety of vital and nutritional substances contained in the grains without compromising quality.
