Epoch booklets

The epoch notebook of Waldorf schools is addressed for the first time as an educational medium that exists across grades and subjects, as well as in both analog and digital formats. The various methodological applications include self-directed learning, subject-specific documentation, and creative design. Despite alternatives such as personalized or virtually connected materials, paper notebooks prove to be equally formative, sustainable, and effective for learning. The individual contributions from theory and practice situate the epoch notebook within discourses of media education, (Waldorf) school pedagogy, and subject didactics.
