The PDU/power distribution unit from Tripp Lite offers advanced network control and monitoring with the ability to turn the power on and off for each individual outlet, recycle, or lock it, monitor electrical conditions on-site, and remotely control output power consumption. The integrated network management interface of the LX platform allows for complete remote access for PDU status monitoring and email notifications via a secure web browser, SNMP, Telnet, or SSH. It supports automatic detection of 10/100 Mbps for optimal communication with an Ethernet network. Optional EnviroSense2 modules provide a variety of environmental monitoring features. Supported protocols include HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, SNMPv1, SNMPv2, SNMPv3, Telnet, SSH, FTP, DHCP, and NTP. Individually switched outlets can be controlled in real-time to remotely restart unresponsive network hardware or can be programmed for custom on and off sequences to ensure the proper startup of interdependent IT systems and to prevent overloads that can occur when network devices are powered on for the first time. Unused PDU outlets can be electronically locked to prevent the connection of unauthorized hardware. The output power consumption of the PDU in amperes is displayed locally via a power meter on the front panel or remotely through a web/network interface to warn of potential overloads before critical IT network or branch circuit breakers trip.
