Product details

The Ducky One 3 offers gamers and keyboard enthusiasts a luxurious typing experience thanks to its high-quality finish and short response times. In addition, the switches are not soldered but mounted on sockets. This makes them very easy to replace without any soldering.

The Ducky One 3 variant offered here has an 80 per cent TKL form factor. By dispensing with the numeric keypad, it takes up less space on the desk, but is also less suitable for office applications. With this keyboard, the manufacturer is introducing its QUACK Mechanics design philosophy. Ducky considers four key aspects that are decisive for the typing experience: the keycaps, the housing, the sound and the stabilisers.

That's why all variants of the Ducky One 3 offer high-quality keycaps made of PBT. The semi-crystalline plastic is particularly popular with keyboard modders because it is resistant to abrasion. Ducky moulds the keycaps from two layers of plastic so that the key lettering is always clearly legible. The keycaps do not develop the usual lustre that occurs with other plastics due to intensive use.

A common criticism of mechanical keyboards is their clunkiness. The housing developed for the Ducky One 3 is flatter than that of its predecessors and, together with the three-stage feet, reduces the strain on the wrist. To improve the sound and typing feel, Ducky tested a total of 17 different rubber compounds and selected suitable variants for the Q-Bounce pad. This is combined with an additional layer of EVA foam to effectively dampen resonances when typing and hard keystrokes.
