The Ducky One 2 SF Gaming Keyboard shines with a very minimalist exterior and a blend of features and proven design concepts. It utilizes the reliably known Cherry MX switches, which are paired with PBT double-shot keycaps by Ducky. The feature set is housed in a sleek, black-and-white case without a numpad, featuring a very narrow and stylish frame, and is complemented by RGB LED backlighting.

This version uses Cherry MX Black switches. Cherry MX Black switches are purely linear, non-tactile switches, making them suitable for first-person shooters. A tactile feedback point is not necessarily required for this genre, as the keys are often pressed fully during intense gameplay. The Cherry MX Black switches are closest in feel to rubber dome gaming keyboards but offer significantly more error tolerance due to their high actuation force.

The casing of the Ducky One 2 SF Gaming Keyboard is two-toned: while the top is black, the frame and bottom of the keyboard are white. The keycaps are made from polybutylene terephthalate, or PBT for short, manufactured using the double-shot process, and are considerably more durable than keys made from ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene).
